Manage your HeadlessOps subscription, change plans, purchase extras, and handle billing through the web UI
Billing & Subscriptions
HeadlessOps offers usage-based subscription plans with the ability to purchase extra run hours and manage billing directly from the workspace settings.
Accessing Billing
Navigate to Workspace Settings → Billing to manage your subscription. You can view your current plan, usage metrics, and manage payments from this page.
Subscription Plans
HeadlessOps offers tiered subscription plans based on monthly run hours and included features:

Changing Your Plan
You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time:
- Go to Workspace Settings → Billing
- Click Change Plan
- Select a new plan from the available options
- Review the prorated charges or credits on the confirmation screen
- Confirm the change
Proration
Plan changes are prorated — you only pay for the difference when upgrading, and receive credits toward future billing when downgrading. The billing calculator shows the exact amount before you confirm.
Note: Downgrading below your current usage limit may result in restricted functionality until the start of the next billing period.
Purchasing Extra Run Hours
If you exceed your plan's included run hours, you can purchase extras without changing plans:
- Go to Workspace Settings → Billing
- Click Buy Extras
- Select the number of additional run hours
- Complete the payment using your saved payment method
Extra run hours are charged immediately to your saved card. No checkout redirect is required.
Manage Billing Portal
Click Manage Billing in the Billing tab to open the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can:
- Update your payment method (credit/debit card)
- View invoices and payment history
- Cancel your subscription
- Update billing information
The Stripe portal does not require re-authentication — clicking the button opens the portal with a pre-authorized session.
Usage Metrics
The Billing tab displays real-time usage metrics including:
- Run hours consumed in the current billing period
- Remaining hours before overages
- Total runs executed
- Time saved across all integrations
Usage resets at the start of each billing period.
Cancelling Your Subscription
To cancel your subscription:
- Go to Workspace Settings → Billing
- Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe portal
- Select Cancel Plan and confirm
Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. After cancellation, your workspace will be restricted according to the free tier limits.
Payment Methods
HeadlessOps supports payment via credit and debit cards through Stripe. Your payment method is stored securely by Stripe and used for:
- Monthly subscription charges
- Extra run hour purchases
- Plan upgrade prorated charges
You can update or replace your payment method at any time through the Manage Billing portal.
